TWELVE of the best compact speedcar drivers will line up to take out the honor of being NSW State
Champion.
All roads will to Goulburn tomorrow as the city hosts the NSW Compact Speedcar
championships. Spectators will be in for a treat, with skilful drivers set to tackle the taxing
conditions associated with speedcar racing.
Mitch Biner, from the Central Coast
of NSW, was recently first in the A main at Sydney Speedway and second in the A main at Nowra
Speedway on January 15.
Others in the running for the top gong include Matt
Hinton, an ACT resident and driver to watch, Canberra’s Gavin Gay, Orchard Hills racer Darren
Hawksworth, Central Coast competitor and two time state champion Tony Abson, Nowra’s Tony Aulsbrook,
club champion Carl Yenne, Albion Park speed demon Stephen Birkett, Canberra specialist Adam Lawson,
Colo Vale’s Glen Shaw and Bow Bowing driver Rob Eyeington.
